The effect of hierarchical structure of zeolites on the chemical-looping reforming of methane coupled with CO2 reduction

摘要
Chemical-looping reforming of methane coupled with CO2 reduction is a promising technology that can not only use CH4 more efficiently but also fix CO2. Perovskite as an oxygen carrier shows excellent performance in this reaction, but the sintering and carbon deposition during the reaction process reduced its stability. Thus,a highly active and durable LaFe0.8Co0.15Cu0.05O3/hierarchical ZSM-5 oxygen carrier was prepared for efficient conversion of CH4 and utilization of CO2. The rich pore structure and high specific surface area of hierarchical zeolites can provide more loading sites for perovskite, which can effectively inhibit the sintering and carbon deposition problems of perovskite in the process of high temperature reaction, and greatly increase the performance of perovskite in this chemical-looping process. Compared with the traditional microporous ZSM-5, the introduction of hierarchical ZSM-5 results in a higher CH4 conversion of LaFe0.8Co0.15Cu0.05O3 .
